SEA TROUT NIGHTS by John Gray is a book presented in two parts. The first part takes us on a chronological journey through the author’s fishing life, much of it spent in search of sea trout on Scottish rivers – Endrick, Earn, Allan, Border Esk and Spey – with a brief foray into Wales along the way. Each chapter, devoted to a favourite river, is illustrated with maps, graphs and photographs, all taken by the author, of the sea trout fishing pools, the flies used and some of the fish they caught on many a summer night.
