The River Rheidol

Sea Trout Fishing on the River Rheidol

The River Rheidol rises in the headwaters of Nant y Moch reservoir on the western flank of Plynlimon before flowing south and westwards through ancient oak woodland through a deep valley where it is joined by the River Mynach. It then meanders westwards to enter the sea at Aberystwyth.

Sea Trout Fishing on the River Rheidol

Aberystwyth Angling Association offers sea trout fishing on sixteen miles of the rivers Rheidol and Ystwyth, the Rheidol recording a ten year average annual catch (to 2009) of 592 sea trout, many in double figures. The association also manages the trout fishing on nine lakes. The association offers season, day and weekly permits to both local and visiting anglers at very reasonable cost.
