The River Teifi
Sea Trout Fishing on the River Teifi
The River Teifi begins its
75 miles journey in Llyn Teifi in the Cambrian mountains
then makes its way through the rich farmland of west Wales
to enter the sea at Cardigan Bay. The River Teifi has
consistently ranked as one of the best sea trout rivers in
the country with a ten year average annual catch, to 2009, of 3082,
second only to the River Towy.

The fishing is in the
main controlled by the two largest fishing associations, the
LLandysul Angling Association
(with 30 miles of fishing) and the
Teifi Trout Association (with 27
miles), between them controlling nearly sixty miles of prime sea
trout fishing on the middle and lower river. Both offer membership,
day and weekly permits at very reasonable prices.
